You bring up one of the most important points about Trump, the way that he always, in true crime boss style, never actually SAYS what he really wants or means, from “people say” for his own racist opinions to the (what he hoped were) implied instructions to overthrow the government in his Jan. 6th speech.

You’re correct, of course, time will tell. But all megalomanic criminals always eventually overextend themselves, finally believing their own lies about their invincibility, and then fall with a thud.

It will create absolutely new territory, though. Does he still get Secret Service protection in prison? At least we already know that the intelligence briefings have been cancelled. But, hell, Cosby got his start playing a secret agent in the 60’s TV show, I Spy. If the CIA gave Trump an intelligence briefing in their jail cell, at least Cosby could keep his mouth shut.
