Tom Cotton, whose ancestors were slave owners, and who inflated his military background in order to get elected (google 'Tom Cotton ranger controversy') is an example of such tone deaf unabashed racism as to be beyond belief, even in Arkansas.

According to the 2020 Census, 15.1% of Arkansans are Black, 7% are Multiracial. However, the White population of the state decreased by 6% between 2010 and 2020.

Maybe when Mr. Cotton is up for re-election, the voters may decide he's not such a necessary evil, after all.
