Yesterday & this morning, with all the news of the Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, has been shocking beyond belief. It seems the world has dodged the bullet, but the recklessness of a fucking attack on a nuclear power plant is utterly insane. This must have been how people felt in 1939.

Somehow, the Russian people will have to overthrow this regime, even though (if you follow the reports) they are being fed the most vile propaganda imaginable. It's all something out of a graphic novel, isn't it?

Putin did go on TV, yesterday, I think, & acknowledge that 500 Russian soldiers are dead (how many more actually are?) and said they'd all get medals, and that families of dead soldiers would get $60,000 and those with injured would get $40,000. They're worried that this whole insane affair, for no reason whatsoever, will be the end of their regime. Wow.
