Trump has his nudnik corrupt insane supporters, but most Republican politicians only pay obeisance out of pure fear. If, in a secret vote, they choose to back Cheney, then it could signal the "Have You No Sense of Decency?" moment for Trump, where his support, based only on fear, collapses.
