There's a big hole in all these predictions. Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm not, but all machine learning neural networks are excellent at finding the hidden structure in vast amounts of data, but, by their very nature, don't have the ability to create anything actually new. That's what the thing we call thinking is really about. Maybe I'm wrong, but the real danger is in firing all the people who can actually innovate and just ending up with endless rehashed slop.

We'll see, though. I was going to say it wouldn't be a loss if we get rid of billions upon billions of fancy CEO pay, but the AIs need to be paid in electricity, and they'll all go on strike if we don't meet their demands.
