The Putin regime is sounding desperate and not acting rationally. It took the American intelligence establishment like a day to show that Putin's claim of an attack on his dacha by 91 Ukrainian drones was just a lie. Moreover, he apparently made the claim in a phone call to Trump just before Trump was set to meet with Zelenskyy. These are signs of panic. My guess is there are serious signs of the Russian Army and its generals preparing to not go along with whatever meat grinder hopelessness Putin and Gerasimov are planning for a spring offensive.
