The past always has a false sense of security. It already happened, so therefore it's set, etc., etc.

The future, of course, could go any way under the sun. It makes us a little nervous. But it also has all possibility for good things simply because it has NOT happened yet.

There's a line from Carlos Castaneda which I love: Most people face the past, but "a warrior turns to face the oncoming time."

Actually, you can feel what I call "the wind from the future," and it really is an exciting thing.
