I'm not sure if your scenario about a nuclear response from Russia is correct, but I certainly hope that the US, NATO, and European militaries are analyzing a possible Russian collapse this summer. Putin is running out of options. I expect one last push, similar to Germany's in 1918, and when that fails, his own generals will overthrow him. Trump's and Netanyahu's war in Iran is unexpectantly complicating everything. A lot of juggling balls are in the air, and 2026 is already a dangerous year that, again, US, NATO, and European militaries have to be thinking about in a lot of detail. I assume the PLA in China is also gaming it out.
