It's real easy to change a story's title on Medium. Several people have pointed out that it would be more correct to say something like

"Why Some Scientists Believe the Building Blocks of Life on Earth May Have Originally Come from Outer Space," which is entirely correct and scientific.

To say that research concerning the origins of our own species are "theory and faith-based, with science lagging behind" is simply and completely untrue, as the approximately 93% genome (DNA) homology with 2 earlier species of Homo, the Neanderthals and Denisovans, has now been established.

However ... if you'd like an AWESOME Sci-Fi tale of humans coming from somewhere else, check out James P. Hogan's great novel, Inherit the Stars:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giants_(series)

It still gives me the willys, the scene where astronauts discover a mummified human in a space suit on the Moon and then realize he's been there for 50,000 years.
