It's hard for me to parse Putin calling Trump, apparently just before Trump's meeting with Zelensky, to of course lyingly claim that Ukraine, ie, Zelensky, sent 91 drones to attack his dacha.

Trump, by his own statements, appears to have bought the fabrication, and hats off, I guess, to Putin's psy ops team for having read their mark well, but just looking at the whole episode a 2nd time, it does seem like a sign of panic on Putin's part. Nothing is working for him. His winter offensive in Donbas has utterly failed with perhaps 200,000 casualties. Ukraine is methodically creating explosions at refineries all over Russia and on Russian tankers in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, and even in the Atlantic off the coast of Senegal. Oh and don't forget the fucking submarine docked in port!

Putin is showing desperation. All he's got is the same old idiocy over and over and over, meat grinder assaults for nothing and missile/drone terror attacks on Ukrainian cities. Oh, and I guess iffy and scary feints on EU border areas.

Spring is coming, and what genius spring offensive will Putin and Gerasimov have in mind? Germany's effort in World War 1 collapsed in 1918 when the army and navy simply refused to fight. Anymore.
