I often think back (I'm not making this up) to when, before the bony fish took over, how trilobites ruled the waves. There were all shapes and sizes of trilobite in every ecological niche. An artist's impression of trilobites filling the oceans is amazing.

There may be life in huge underground oceans on some outer moons like Europa. Maybe the trilobites are still there. It really was a good design.
