Hi SD - Very nice rundown of the current state of sequencing.

It occurs to me that, if 98% of the genome is not protein coding, but regulatory, a nice research project would be to compare non-coding regions in various groups of eukaryotes to see if there are any patterns going from "simple" to "more evolved" groups. Has anyone done that?

If not, just remind them to mention me in the paper.

OK, very nice!
