Actually, chakras are very interesting things. I view them as interfaces to the Emptiness. The Emptiness is what existed before the Big Bang & flows thru channels, powering this Universe in every moment. You are filled with zillions of connections ALL OVER to it. The Heart is just a really really nice one.
